A homage to those behind the flicks we grew up on, along with the TV shows viewed in our youth.
'My Genre' was a solo track I wrote for Aspects' Correct English LP in 2001. Later, a sequel featured on DJ Yoda's How to Cut & Paste: 80's Edition. I dropped 'My Genre Redux' (a 10 Year anniversary edition), in 2011.
Fun fact: That 80s 'Cut & Paste' tape evolved into DJ Yoda's 80s Mixtape Live. We dusted off the track in '25 and performed it live at the Royal Festival Hall, London.
